I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury to transmit herewith to be laid before Mr. Secretary Harcourt a letter dated the 28th ultimo from the London Establishment of the Dresdner Bank, which has
been forwarded to this Department by Sir W. Plender.
As the Bank is carrying on business under Licence for the sole benefit of British, Allied and Neutral Creditors My Lords would be glad if the claims of the Bank on German and Austrian firms in Hong Kong could be safeguarded in the same
hanner as the interests of other British Accepting Houses.
I am,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
Under Secretary of State,
Colonial Office.
